The Spirit of Corcoran Museum
Museum Tour Chamber Joins Forces With Museum Committee to Offer Walking Tour
The mission of the Corcoran Museum Walking Tour is to provide the public with a visual and personal experience of the past that reflects the historical wealth and cultural diversity of our community by encouraging public visitation to participating merchants.
Several Chamber Members are already on board with the project, including Blissful Moments, The Corcoran Journal, Cal-Econ Realty, Kings County Library-Corcoran Branch, City of Corcoran Train Depot and, of course, the Corcoran Chamber of Commerce.
All locations offer a variety of historical displays. The Train Depot features photographs of an era gone by. Cal-Econ Realty offers stunning visuals of Navy memorabilia, the Library helps promote the Museum Committee's Afternoon Tea. New displays will be added to the City of Corcoran, R&M Drugs, Fabrie Jewelers and The Pizza Factory.
Do you have a corner of a store or building that you would be willing to dedicate to the Walking Tour?
Consider displaying historical family items, historical items that relate to your business, your collection of treasures or other Corcoran memorabilia.
Your business or building will be featured on the Corcoran Museum Walking Tour Map. For more information, contact Lisa Shaw at the chamber office at 922-4514.
The Museum committee meets the second Wednesday of every month at noon.
